Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Plumbing and Electrical Tester to inspect homes’ plumbing and electrical systems, ensure NEC/HUD and Clayton QBuilt standards compliance, and document findings. The role requires reading floor plans, coordinating with production leadership, and contributing to defect resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufactured housing preferred.
• Ability to read floor plans and production orders.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards mastery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plumbing tests to required standards and evaluate water/gas lines.
• Complete plumbing installations (e.g., faucets, water heater).
• Conduct electrical tests (continuity, polarity, shorts, functionality).
• Document findings during inspections using available technology.
• Communicate opportunities to management and assist resolution.
• Collaborate with production leadership during inspections.
