Job summary

Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior Living is hiring a Home Support/Care Aide for day shifts within our gated retirement community in Silver Spring, MD. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help with housekeeping and meals, all within the community to avoid travel.

We offer multiple part-time options (24-35 hours/week across various shifts) with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a Maryland CNA or GNA certification per state/federal law.
• CPR certification required.
• Prior caregiving experience with seniors preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks, meal planning and preparation.
• Escort residents to appointments and social activities.
• Support residents' psychosocial well-being through meaningful interactions.
• Follow infection control and prevention practices.

Join our team as a Home Support/Care Aide at our award-winning retirement community!

Do what you love—without the travel! Our clients are all within our gated retirement community. As a caregiver, you’ll provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, handle housekeeping and meal preparation, and escort residents to appointments and social events.

We're looking to fill various part-time DAY SHIFT positions.

Option 1:

• 24 hours per week - Monday- Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm - plus every other weekend

Option 2:

• 24 hours per week - Friday, Saturday, Sunday-8:00am – 4:00pm

Option 3:

• 30 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00am - 2pm - plus every other weekend

Option 4:

• 32 hours per week -Monday, Wednesday, Friday- 8:00AM - 4:00PM - plus every other weekend

Option 5:

• 35 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 4PM- 11 PM plus every other weekend

Option 6:

• 28 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 4PM- 11 PM plus every other weekend

Compensation: $18.25 – $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

How you will make an impact:

• Provide personal care and assists with activities of daily living
• Support residents by performing routine housekeeping tasks, meal planning and preparation, pet walking and feeding, closet organization, and kitchen chores
• Escort residents to appointments and social activities
• Promote psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationships
• Follow and execute standard Infection Control & Prevention practices
• Notify office/nurse in a timely fashion, of any change in a resident’s condition
• Maintain competency in the required job skills and knowledge

What you will need:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) for the State of Maryland as per State and Federal law and regulations
• Experience as a care provider serving the senior population is preferred
• CPR certification
