Job summary

TruBlue Home Service Ally is seeking a Handyman Assistant to support the Lead Technician or Handyman Technician in completing residential repair, maintenance, and improvement projects. You will help prepare job sites, handle tools and materials, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

You will work with basic hand and power tools, learn home repair tasks from carpentry to painting, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools; you must bring your own tools.
• Interest in learning home repair and maintenance skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not always required.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with general home repairs and maintenance including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and minor installations.
• Prepare and clean job sites before, during, and after work is completed.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for each job.
• Help with installing fixtures such as shelves, cabinets, doors, light fixtures, and hardware.
• Support basic tasks related to plumbing, electrical, and general home repairs under supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment to keep them clean and in good working condition.
• Follows safety procedures and company guidelines while working on job sites.
• Communicate effectively with the lead technician to complete assigned tasks.
• Provide courteous and professional interactions with customers when onsite.
