Job summary

TruBlue of East Wake & Northern Johnston County is seeking a dependable Handyman Helper / Home Service Technician Assistant. You’ll learn carpentry, home repairs, maintenance, and customer service while supporting experienced technicians on real jobs.

This full-time role offers Monday–Friday hours, no nights or weekends, and on-the-job training with strong office support. Earn $17-$20 per hour as you grow into advanced technician positions within a locally owned business.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and reliable with strong work ethic.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with home repair and maintenance projects.
• Prepare work areas and organize materials.
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform cleanup and site organization.
• Assist with painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, flooring, and general home maintenance tasks.
• Learn proper repair techniques and safe work practices.
• Help deliver a positive customer experience on every job.
