Job summary

Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Care Specialist to educate patients and caregivers on the proper use of respiratory equipment and care procedures.

You will perform follow-up checks and equipment maintenance both in the field and at the office, ensuring devices operate safely and effectively as per physician orders. You will inspect equipment, coordinate services, and maintain documentation while consulting with physicians to optimize patient care in home settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory program is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• NBRC credentials with RRT preferred; CRT accepted.
• Must have current state professional license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in respiratory care is required.
• Experience with home medical equipment is highly desired.
• Current CPR certification and company health requirements are required before interacting with patients.
• Knowledge of Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

• This employee delivers and provides instruction to patients and/or caregivers on the proper use of equipment and respiratory care procedures.
• Performs routine patient follow-up contacts and equipment maintenance checks.
• Completes daily delivery logs, plans of care and treatment paperwork as required.
• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition in field and office.
• Provides and evaluates respiratory care, coordinates services, and performs care per physician orders.
• Consults with referring physician regarding patient treatment and home environment.

Education

AMA approved respiratory program

Bachelor's degree preferred

NBRC credentials (RRT preferred; CRT accepted)

Current state professional license

1 year experience in respiratory care
