Job summary

Pensacola Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Home Repair Generalist to lead hands-on repair, accessibility, and minor rehabilitation projects in the community. You will be the on-site technical contact, coordinating with subcontractors and staff to ensure scope, budget, and quality are met.

The role requires 5–10 years in home construction and repair, strong leadership of volunteers, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Residential construction and repair knowledge with cost estimation ability.
On-site technical contact for subcontractors and vendors, ensuring scope/schedule/quality.
Ability to lead volunteers and manage teams.
Excellent organization, planning, and budgeting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Commit to mission and work 40 hours weekly, including some evenings and weekends.
Respond to homeowners, subcontractors, and internal staff regarding active repairs.
Coordinate with the CD Operations Associate and Director to ensure repairs are on schedule.
Perform on-site assessments and provide cost estimates for repair projects.
Lead on-site repair work including drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, and carpentry.
Oversee on-site subcontractors, review quality and code compliance.
Lead and work with volunteers; promote safety and a positive environment.
Represent Pensacola Habitat professionally in community activities.
