The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Housing/Community Development Specialist to support the Housing and Urban Planning Division, focusing on income certification and administering affordable housing and community development programs.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree with major coursework in business administration, finance, public administration, planning, sociology, or closely related field.
One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
Requires one year of experience in mortgage loan origination, loan processing, apartment leasing, housing program compliance monitoring or enforcement, community development or closely related experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day administration, management, compliance, and direct oversight of the Pompano Beach Residential Advisory Board (RAB) home rehabilitation program.
Coordinate, oversee, and administer the RAB program related to major and minor rehabilitation programs and other housing assistance programs with large budgets.
Review and approve contractor payments, initial scope of work, and change orders; conduct inspections to ensure quality performance.
Coordinate meetings with consultants and contractors to review progress and manage all aspects of the project.
Prepare schedules, reports, and related correspondence including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
