Job summary

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners seeks a Housing/Community Development Specialist to support the Housing and Urban Planning Division, focusing on home rehabilitation program administration.

The role requires income certification expertise, knowledge of mortgage underwriting, and experience with housing program compliance. A Bachelor's degree is required, with relevant experience substitutable for education, and state or local-government funding knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, finance, public administration, planning or sociology.
• Requires one year of experience in mortgage loan origination, loan processing, housing program compliance monitoring or enforcement, or community development.
• One year of experience may be substituted for each year of education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day administration, management, compliance, and oversight of the Pompano Beach Home Rehabilitation program.
• Coordinate payments, approvals, inspections, and change orders for rehabilitation projects.
• Prepare schedules, reports, and data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Collaborate with consultants and contractors to review progress and resolve issues.
