Job summary

Vertex Energy Inc. is seeking a skilled Filter Driver to collect and transport used oil filters on a fixed route. You will operate a straight truck, load and unload materials, and maintain accurate records while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• DOT medical card and physical form required.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Able to obtain Fork Lift or related equipment certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of related driving experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT rules and safe driving practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.]
• English reading and writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight truck to collect and transport used oil filters.
• Load and unload filters at customer and company sites.
• Complete manifests, bills of lading, and e-logs accurately.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Assist in route expansion and seek new customers.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety procedures.
• Maintain compliance with DOT/OSHA/company safety programs.
• Keep accurate DOT paperwork and records.
