Job summary

Vertex Energy, operating as H&H Oil, seeks a Filter Driver to collect used oil filters on a Houston-area route. The role requires a straight truck operation, loading/unloading, and precise record-keeping with strong customer service.

The ideal candidate holds a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, a DOT medical card, and a solid knowledge of DOT rules. You will ensure safety, perform inspections, and collaborate with the Operations team to expand routes.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• DOT medical card and physical form required.
• Experience with DOT regulations and paperwork is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate company straight trucks for pickup/delivery of used oil filters.
• Load and unload filters at customer and company locations.
• Complete manifests, Bills of Lading, and e-logs accurately.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain DOT compliance and PPE adherence.
• Keep accurate route and safety records and expand routes when possible.
