Job summary

Memorial Home Services is seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Technician to deliver and assemble home care devices. You will educate patients and caregivers on proper use and safety, and operate independently during after-hours calls.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of customer service experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a valid Illinois driver’s license. Weekend and on-call shifts are required as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Attain required Medical Service Technician CBL’S through Med University within 90 days.
• Strong mechanical and assembly aptitude preferred.
• Understanding of home medical equipment and in-home setup experience required.
• Basic PC skills and data entry capability required.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and acceptable MVR required.
• Good oral communication, customer relations, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible to manage multiple priorities and on-call weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Transports and delivers durable medical, mobility, and basic respiratory care equipment to customer homes.
• Assembles and verifies performance of equipment in customer homes.
• Provides detailed equipment use and care instructions to patients and/or caregivers.
• Works independently after hours on call for delivery or troubleshooting of equipment and supplies.
• Serves as an independent back-up in other warehouse operations as determined by management.
