Job summary

AdaptHealth is hiring a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safety, comfort, and independence while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

The role is primarily field-based with daily patient visits and on-call responsibilities; a high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, along with healthcare or customer-service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires 2 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-ups to support ongoing care.
• Respond to equipment issues, including during emergencies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and PPE usage.
• Process orders and documentation accurately to support care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services to referral sources as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
