Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support home medical equipment and respiratory devices in patients’ homes or clinics. You will educate patients and caregivers, perform assessments, and ensure safety and quality of care.

This role emphasizes field-based service, adherence to HIPAA, and on-going maintenance of equipment with a focus on customer satisfaction and compliance.

Qualifications

• Customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Field-based delivery/installation experience preferred.
• One year in healthcare technician or related role preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and care of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policy and safety standards.
• Complete documentation and process orders accurately to support care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
