Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and other locations as needed. You will educate patients and caregivers on safe use, perform routine maintenance, and help ensure comfort, safety and independence.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license, and a background in healthcare, field service, or customer care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Assess patient needs and provide ongoing care assessments by visiting locations.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain related logs.
• Complete documentation accurately for patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and on-call rotation.
