Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients’ homes, clinics, or long‑term care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, comfort and independence while following HIPAA and safety standards.

This field-based role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and customer service or healthcare experience; additional healthcare/field-service background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred; 2 years for senior role with similar responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in patient homes or clinical settings.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergency situations when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems and ensure proper documentation for care and reimbursement.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and safety standards.
