Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or long‑term care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and maintain equipment with a focus on comfort and independence.

The role requires knowledge of HME, patient assessments, and adherence to HIPAA. A valid driver’s license is required, with opportunities for on‑call rotations and participation in our total

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, or related experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience for senior-level roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including during emergencies.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policy.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Complete documentation for orders and reimbursement.
• Support referrals and promote company services where appropriate.
