MISSION

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides daily customer service functions to ensure delivery of services to customers. Collaborates with different disciplines throughout the health care center to deliver high-quality DME services. Cares for all age groups — birth and above.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Computer skills are necessary.

EDUCATION:

One-year certificate or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training in a medical office environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

See above. Experience with customer service is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge and skills required for technical and dimensional content. Broad, detailed knowledge of specific areas. Ability to gather, organize, verify, analyze data, and produce final output within standards. Exercises judgment in planning, investigating issues, and evaluating solutions. Makes decisions by reviewing defined alternatives, with assistance from procedures, co-workers, and managers. Impacts multiple work areas daily, providing information to decision-making processes. Limited responsibility for resource commitment but performs analyses and makes recommendations. Demonstrates interpersonal skills, cooperation, and tact in contact with others, including team leadership, training, and responding to inquiries. Understands others' expectations to collaborate and reach consensus.

PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Facilitates delivery of supplies/equipment through scheduling, registration, and data entry.
  2. Ensures appropriate flow of information including scheduling, greeting, registration, and communication.
  3. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
  4. Maintains composure under stress.
  5. Problem-solving in complex situations.
  6. Keeps knowledge of products and services to communicate effectively.
  7. Assembles, distributes, and files medical records.
  8. Maintains office equipment and protects confidentiality.
  9. Facilitates delivery and maintenance of equipment.
  10. Recognizes the role of Customer Service Liaison.
  11. Attends meetings and participates in staff education.
  12. Maintains competencies and participates in on-call rotations.
  13. Ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  14. Performs additional duties as assigned, including data entry and billing tasks.
  15. Provides coverage across facilities as needed.
