Job summary

Accendra Health, part of Apria Healthcare, is seeking a Delivery Technician to bring durable medical equipment to patients in their homes. You’ll handle packing, delivering, and pickup of items, and may teach patients basic use of equipment under state guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. A company training program and DOT compliance support your career in this essential role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• Instructs patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment and DME as allowed by licensure.
• Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Responds to emergency delivery calls during business hours and on-call basis.
• Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs and forms; distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains supply component of patient profiles.
• Notifies supervisor of unsafe home conditions or abuse.
• May clean or assist with equipment repair.
• Performs routine vehicle maintenance and reports malfunctions.
• Performs other duties as required.
