Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Delivery Technician to provide home delivery of durable medical equipment to Apria patients. The role requires driving responsibilities, coordination of paperwork, and ensuring safe, accurate deliveries.

Key duties include loading and unloading equipment, educating patients on device use, and maintaining driver logs. The position emphasizes safety, compliance with medical standards, and teamwork across nationwide service locations.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
• At least one year related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire.
• Minimum of three years driving history.
• Successful completion of Driver Training Program.
• Meet DOT, FDA and accrediting body standards.
• English reading, writing and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, pack, and pick up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• Instruct patients on basic use of respiratory and other equipment.
• Load/unload durable medical equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Respond to emergency delivery calls during business hours and on-call.
• Complete daily delivery logs and related paperwork.
• Distribute paperwork to appropriate personnel and maintain patient profiles.
• Notify supervisor of unsafe home conditions or abuse indicators.
• Clean and assist with equipment repair as needed.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Performs other duties as required.
