Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other locations as needed.

You will educate patients and caregivers, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with care teams to ensure safety and independence. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with relevant healthcare or field-service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards.
