Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and other locations as needed. The role emphasizes patient education, safety, and independence, with on-call rotation and strict HIPAA compliance.

Primary duties include assessing patients, maintaining equipment, and ensuring proper documentation for reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
