Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC seeks a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and support independence during transitions from care facilities.

Daily duties include equipment maintenance, documentation, handling HIPAA-compliant records, and collaborating with referral sources. Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and document accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources.
