Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team and ensure safe, timely delivery of home medical equipment, provide equipment setup, and educate patients on proper use. The role includes on-call rotations, patient interaction, and adherence to safety standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of driving experience; CDL is a plus. A valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of professional driving experience required.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older; CDL drivers must be 21 or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Excellent speaking and writing skills.
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork.
• Strong customer service.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during loading/unloading.
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols.
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address patient medical emergencies per policies.
