My City Home Inspector is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our Dalton team as a Home Inspector. The role blends hands-on inspection work with customer interaction and follow-up sales support to help homeowners, buyers, and agents make informed decisions about residential properties.

The ideal candidate has construction experience, knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems, and holds or is pursuing a Home Inspector certification/license as required by state standards.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, community-minded Home Inspector to join our growing team. This role blends technical inspection work, customer service, and sales-focused follow-up to help homeowners, buyers, and real estate professionals make informed decisions about residential properties. If you have construction experience, knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems, and hold (or are pursuing) a Home Inspector certification/license, we want to hear from you.

What to Expect
  • Field-Based Work: Majority of work performed on-site at residential properties across the Chattanooga area.
  • Variety & Learning: Inspections will include structural elements, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems — every day is different.
  • Client Interaction: Frequent direct contact with homeowners, buyers, and real estate agents; professional, friendly communication is essential.
  • Reporting: Use company inspection software to create clear, photo-supported reports and deliver them within expected turnaround times.
Who You Are
  • Technically Skilled: Hands-on construction experience and familiarity with residential HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Certified or Licensed: Hold (or be actively pursuing) a Home Inspector certification/license as required by state or national standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Construction experience with practical knowledge of residential building systems.

  • Strong customer service skills and a sales-minded approach to recommending services and follow-up.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and managing a schedule of inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in home inspections, real estate, construction trades, or related fields.
  • Experience using inspection software and basic computer skills (email, photo editing, reporting).
  • Background in sales, client acquisition, or territory development.
