Job summary

HouseMaster is seeking detail-oriented home inspectors to join our national team. The role emphasizes accurate inspections, thorough reporting, and strong client communication while complying with safety protocols.

You will travel to inspection sites, collect evidence, and maintain logs with photographic documentation. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction or related fields, solid knowledge of building codes, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair experience.
• Strong understanding of building codes, laws and government regulations.
• Degree in construction preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to home inspection sites as required.
• Review plans to ensure they meet building codes and local ordinances.
• Inspect plumbing and electrical for code violations and issue notices.
• Keep daily logs, write reports, and take photographs.

Position Summary

A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail- oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, and presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report.

Role And Responsibilities

The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications.

The ideal candidate stays current on latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently and a strong work ethic are also required. Salary based on experience and qualifications.

• Travel to home inspection site
• Suggest possible improvements and discuss potential code violations
• Review plans ensuring they meet building codes and local ordinances
• Inspect plumbing and electrical for code violations and issue violation notices
• Keep daily logs, write up reports and take photographs

Qualifications And Requirements

• 2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair experience required

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
• Physically fit for climbing ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other
