Job summary

Optum, a UnitedHealth Group subsidiary, is seeking a Home Infusion Nurse to deliver skilled clinical care in patients' homes or ambulatory infusion suites. This role offers autonomy, a flexible schedule, and meaningful patient relationships.

You will travel within the southeastern Ohio area, provide infusion services per physician orders, educate patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective therapy.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Ohio or NLC with ability to practice in Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start.
• 1+ years RN experience in infusion or IV therapy.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgement and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes and related sites using a personal or rental vehicle.
• Provide safe and compliant infusion services per policies and physician orders.
• Educate patients and caregivers on self-care and self-administration.
• Assess home infusion suitability including safety and caregiver support.
• Document patient histories, assessments, and plans of care.
• Deliver nursing care across ages per physician orders.
• Establish and maintain vascular access devices.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Communicate patient status with physicians and care team.
• Assist in staff orientation and training as requested.
