Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Professional Nursing.
• Recent nursing experience with strong IV skills.
• Current RN License in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and education for home infusion patients to facilitate timely discharge.
• Document in a timely and accurate manner in the electronic health record.
• Assist home care nurses and patients with device and catheter troubleshooting.
• Provide on-site training to contracted agency nurses on IV care and pump usage.
• Work with Nursing Education to create tools for home care nurses regarding IV pumps.
• Develop interactive teaching methods for home infusion patients.
• Facilitate the development of infusion policies and procedures based on evidence-based guidelines.
• Evaluate infusion products, supplies, and protocols for patient care.
• Create and maintain relationships with case managers and nursing staff to support patient care.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality improvement data collection.
