Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Home Infusion Nurse to provide one-on-one clinical care in patients' homes or ambulatory infusion suites in Lawrenceville, GA. The role offers autonomy, a flexible schedule, and meaningful patient interactions while delivering life-changing therapies.

You will travel to patient homes, perform infusion services per orders, and monitor responses, establishing strong relationships with patients and caregivers. A GA RN license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Georgia.
• 1+ year RN infusion/IV experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes and related sites using a personal or rental vehicle.
• Provide safe and compliant infusion services per policy and physician orders.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Assess home safety and caregiver support for infusion suitability.
• Obtain and maintain accurate patient histories and required documentation.
• Deliver skilled nursing care across a range of ages and conditions.
• Establish and maintain vascular devices (peripheral IVs, PICCs).
• Administer medications and monitor responses, including infusion reactions.
• Communicate patient status and therapy responses with care team.
• Assist in staff orientation and act as a clinical educator.

About This Role

As a Home Infusion Nurse, you'll provide one-on-one, skilled clinical care to patients in their homes or in an ambulatory infusion suite. What You'll Do

• Travel to patient homes and related sites using a personal or rental vehicle.
• Provide safe and compliant infusion services in accordance with Optum Infusion Pharmacy policies and physician orders.
• Establish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Assess patient suitability for home infusion therapy, including home safety and caregiver support.
• Obtain and maintain accurate patient medical histories and required documentation.
• Deliver skilled nursing care across a range of patient ages and conditions.
• Establish, access, and maintain vascular devices, including peripheral IVs and PICC lines.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including managing infusion reactions.
• Communicate patient status and therapy response promptly with care team members.
• Assist in staff orientation and training, serving as a clinical educator.

Requirements

Education:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia

Experience:

• 1+ years of RN experience in a clinical setting supporting infusion or IV therapy

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
