Job summary

Amerita, a BrightSpring Health Services affiliate, is seeking a Pharmacist to join our home infusion pharmacy team in Amarillo, TX. The role involves evaluating and monitoring drug therapy for home care patients, coordinating referrals, and ensuring compliance with all laws and quality standards.

You will support physicians and nurses, document clinical activities, and oversee technician functions while maintaining high patient care standards and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred.
• Active Pharmacist License in state(s) of practice.
• Minimum two years in acute-care or one year in home infusion therapy.
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor drug therapy for home care patients in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Coordinate new referrals and admissions with nurses and distribution teams.
• Review and verify all new patient orders and document appropriately.
• Assist clinicians with planning patient care in the home and monitoring therapy objectives.
• Document patient and drug information; monitor outcomes via labs and clinical data.
• Provide drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain thorough documentation of clinical activities in patient records.
• Oversee pharmacy technician functions as required.
