Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Home Infusion Nurse to deliver one-on-one clinical care in patients' homes or ambulatory infusion sites, offering autonomy and a flexible schedule. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and compassionate infusion therapies while building meaningful connections with patients and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in RI.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross, or willing to obtain before start.
• 1+ year RN experience in infusion or IV therapy (ICU, Med Surg, ED, PACU).
• Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment and team collaboration.
• Valid driver's license and ability to cover an 80 mile service radius.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes and related sites using a personal or rental vehicle.
• Provide safe and compliant infusion services per policies and physician orders.
• Establish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers; educate on self-care.
• Assess patient suitability for home infusion therapy, including home safety and caregiver support.
• Obtain and maintain patient histories, plans of care, visit notes, medication profiles, and discharge summaries.
• Deliver skilled nursing care across ages per physician orders and treatment plans.
• Establish, access, and maintain vascular devices (IVs, PICCs, ports).
• Administer medications and monitor reactions, vital signs, and lab collection.
• Communicate patient status and therapy response promptly with the care team.
• Assist in staff orientation and training as a clinical educator.
