Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Home Infusion Nurse to provide clinical care and education to home-based patients receiving parenteral medications in Knoxville, TN. This role offers a flexible, remote-friendly environment with a part-time schedule (20 hours per week) and potential to grow hours.

Ideal candidates hold an active TN RN license (compact acceptable), CPR certification, and at least 1 year of RN experience with IVs/infusions.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Tennessee (compact license acceptable).
• 1+ year of RN experience with IVs/infusions.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive clinical rapport with patients and families.
• Assess patient appropriateness for home infusion therapy.
• Obtain and document patient's medical history at the start of care and ongoing.
• Complete all required clinical documentation thoroughly and timely.
• Participate in case conferences as needed to plan patient care.
• Provide comprehensive skilled care to patients of varying ages and medical conditions.
• Establish, secure, and maintain vascular access devices as prescribed.
• Administer medications as prescribed, performing clinical assessments.
• Communicate observations of patient response to therapy with the care team.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of infusion therapies administered at home.

About This Role

The Home Infusion Nurse provides clinical care and education to home-based patients receiving a variety of parenteral medications. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about patient care and want to work in a flexible, remote environment.

Requirements

Education:

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee with a compact license or willing to obtain compact license within 90 days of hire.

Experience:

• 1+ years of clinical experience working as an RN doing IVs and/or Infusions.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current RN License in Tennessee.
• CPR certification required.
