Job summary

Infusion Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for infusion therapy. You will place, monitor, and assess intravenous systems and medications, following orders and accreditation standards to meet each client’s needs.

You will perform assessments, manage IV infusions, educate patients and caregivers, maintain safety, and collaborate with physicians and pharmacists to ensure quality care across age groups in a clinical infusion setting.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience as an RN commensurate with one of the following: one year acute care in the last two years, or one year of home health, community health, outpatient facility experience.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current TB testing.
• Valid state driver’s license and insurance.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and effective communication in English.
• General nursing theory and practice knowledge.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and ongoing reassessments for each client.
• Monitors and maintains infusion sites and systems.
• Administers IV medications and other therapies with proper rights and monitoring.
• Adheres to five medication rights and reduces medication errors.
• Performs venous punctures and phlebotomies.
• Assesses patient condition and updates plan of care as needed.
• Educates clients and families on treatment and pain management.
• Maintains aseptic practices and infection control procedures.
• Documents clearly and timely and follows policies.
• Provides care to clients from neonate to geriatric.
