Job summary

OHSU is seeking a Home Infusion Technician to support pharmacists by preparing sterile injections and unit doses, managing inventory, and packaging medications for patient deliveries. The role ensures accuracy of procedures and operates under direct pharmacist supervision to safeguard patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile work areas, helping with patient care coordination, and performing additional technician duties as needed to ensure timely home infusion services.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
• 2 years pharmacy work experience or equivalent education.
• Certification from PTCB or NHA, maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound sterile medications following aseptic guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of USP ISO areas with routine cleaning.
• Prepare and package medications for patient deliveries.
• Organize and restock work areas, remove expired medications.
• Coordinate patient care by answering calls and updating medication profiles.
• Perform other technician duties as assigned.
