Qualifications

• 1-2 years home infusion experience preferred.
• Experience with ICD-9 coding preferred.
• College degree desirable.
• 2-3 years experience with home care, discharge planning, or insurance billing a plus.
• Maintain a current insurable driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process intake information for potential home infusion patients.
• Procure patient information to determine admission based on data and policies.
• Identify payers and pricing agreements.
• Verify health insurance coverage.
• Obtain authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Enter intake data into CPR+ and update records.
• Coordinate discharge planning with referral sources.
• Establish nursing agency relationships for services.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Handle billing paperwork and collections.
• Resolve patient/payee issues promptly.
