Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist in Marrero, LA to be one of the first people our customers meet. You will use sales expertise to help customers find products and turn great project ideas into reality in a fast-paced store environment.

You will become the product expert, explaining specifications, promotions, financing options, and services to close sales. The role covers multiple departments, offers bonus opportunities, benefits, and a path for growth within Lowe's.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience; or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s if education not met.
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand/sit for long periods and lift 25 lbs+.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and explaining Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as department contact for customers and vendors; provide project estimates, schedule installers, and track orders.
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to reorder stock.
• Support checkout functions and assist with departmental requests.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development needs.
