Job summary

Runnings in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Department Manager for the Paint, Electrical, Plumbing and Hardware departments. You will drive merchandising, sales and customer service within your department and report to the Store Manager. Must be able to work days, nights, and every other weekend.

Extensive knowledge of Paint, Electrical, Plumbing and Hardware is preferred; pay ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Customer Service training and/or experience preferred.
• Experience in retail management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to ensure awareness of department product needs.
• Assist with training and direction provided to new department team members.
• Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.
