Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Support Assistant to join our team. This role provides essential clerical and administrative support within the home health operations, assisting with patient care processes and handling calls, records, and supplies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least a year of clerical experience, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, with excellent customer service skills and knowledge of medical terminology as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clerical and administrative support for home health operations and patient care processes.
• Respond to incoming calls and manage paper flow.
• Maintain patients’ records and process requests for release of records.
• Procure and stock/dispense medical and office supplies and equipment.
• Maintain lab requests for billing purposes.
• Duplicating and distributing interoffice forms.
• Register patients into and maintain the tele-monitor program.
• Perform other duties as directed by Branch Manager/Administrator.

Responsibilities

The Home Health Support Assistant, under the direction of the Branch Manager and/or Administrator, assists with the clerical and administrative support components of the home health and private duty operations and patient care processes, which includes responding to incoming calls, managing paper flow, maintenance of patients’ records, processing requests for release of patients’ records, procuring and stocking/dispensing medical and office supplies and equipment, maintenance of lab requests for billing purposes, duplicating and distributing interoffice forms, managing distribution of interoffice correspondence, registering patients into and maintaining the tele-monitor program (if applicable), and performing other duties as directed by the Branch Manager and/or Administrator.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of clerical/office responsibilities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology, a plus
