Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Speech Therapist in Home Health through Caretenders, a part of the Optum family, dedicated to helping people feel their best and delivering compassionate care.

You will assess communication, swallowing and cognitive needs, develop treatment plans, provide interventions, and train patients and families while coordinating with the health care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy per state of residence.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech therapy services within state scope and plan of care.
• Evaluates function and assists in developing therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
• Monitors patient progress and reports changes to supervising clinician.
• Instructs patient, family, and caregivers in speech therapy activities.
