Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide home health services, assessing and treating speech and language disorders, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. You will develop and implement treatment plans with the care team and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of residence.
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or able to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within scope and plan of care in coordination with the health care team.
• Evaluate patient function and assist physician in therapy plan development.
• Treat patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervisor.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy approaches and participation.
