Atrinity Home Health, a part of LHC Group, is seeking a Speech Therapist to assess and treat speech, swallowing, and cognitive impairments in home health settings. You will develop and adjust treatment plans to improve patient well-being and evaluate progress with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other health care team members
• Evaluates the patient's level of function using diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests and helps develop the therapy plan of care
• Treats patients to communicate effectively by expressing thoughts according to the patient's condition
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses and changes to treatment to the supervising nurse or physician
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in areas of speech therapy participation
