Optum and its partner VNA of Maryland-Chestertown are hiring a Speech Therapist for Home Health in Maryland. Full-time, part-time and PRN positions with flexible scheduling and a $10,000 sign-on bonus are available.

The role focuses on assessment and treatment of speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, with plan of care development, patient progress evaluation, and caregiver instruction.

Qualificações

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and plan of care.
• Evaluates function and assists in therapy plan development.
• Treats patients to improve communication according to condition.
• Observes, records, and reports progress to nurse/physician.
• Instructs patients, family and caregivers in relevant speech therapy areas.
