Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• 1–2 years clinical experience required.
• SLP license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the State of Maryland or Virginia or Certificate of Competency by ASHA if DC-based work requires.
• Valid State Driver’s License in good standing required; CPR certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to established goals and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality and safety standards; completes mandatory training.
• Provides evaluation and speech-language pathology treatment per agency standards and regulatory requirements.
• Plans discharge including referrals to community resources and adaptive equipment needs.
• Communicates with supervisor and health care team regarding patient care.
• Maintains medical records per guidelines and provides patient/caregiver education.
