Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to deliver patient-centered care in the Thurston and Pierce County areas. You will develop and implement speech therapy plans of care in collaboration with physicians and families.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Speech Language Pathology (Master’s preferred) and at least one year in home health. You will educate teams, document care, and participate in quality improvement while upholding Compassus values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a home health setting required.

Responsibilities

• Develop speech therapy plans of care for patients after physician consultation.
• Visit patients for assessment and evaluation; complete OASIS assessments.
• Educate and instruct team members, patients, and families.
• Document care and submit paperwork timely to update medical records.
• May participate in agency quality improvement programs.
• Promote growth and profitability through efficient resource use and community education.
