Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to service Southern Maryland in home health settings. The role emphasizes comprehensive evaluation, patient-centered therapy, and coordination with the care team.

Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology, Maryland license, and BLS certification, with 1 year of home health experience preferred. Employment is per visit with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• 1-year home health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with agency insurance requirements.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active Maryland License.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment/diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care.
• Provide or supervise therapy intervention aligned with exam results and plan of care; involve patient and care team.
• Plan for discharge and follow-up; monitor progress and adjust plan accordingly.
• Communicate, coordinate and document all aspects of patient management with care team; supervise rehab aides and office staff.
• Manage schedule to accommodate census and caseload; attend team meetings to relay patient status.
