The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing with an active VA RN license and BLS certification within 90 days. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in home health, is required.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
- RN license active in VA is required.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
- Home health experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and supervises all nursing care for participants per program standards.
- Interacts with other facility staff and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Performs initial and periodic patient assessments.
- Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent or disabled participants.
- Advises participants on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Administers medications as needed.
