Job summary

Advocate Health in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full‑time, 1.0 FTE position in the Nursing department. The role covers Oshkosh and Fox Cities, with schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and a weekend rotation.

You will perform initial assessments, develop care plans, deliver direct patient care, document accurately, and collaborate with physicians and family. A Wisconsin RN license and BLS are required, with 3 years of clinical nursing experience.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse patient population.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency in clinical skills and making sound judgments under direction.
Ability to operate medical equipment and health IT systems (fax, computer, copier, phone).
Ability to assess patient data and determine appropriate care needs.
Commitment to cultural sensitivity and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Perform initial patient assessments collecting physical, social, and environmental data.
Establish and implement the care plan in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
Provide direct patient care and adapt nursing interventions as required.
Document visits, assessments, and orders accurately and timely, including required forms.
Communicate with physicians and care team about patient status and plan of care.
Participate in discharge planning and quality improvement activities.
