Job summary

MCO Homecare Services LLC is seeking an experienced Georgia-licensed Registered Nurse to provide authorized in-home nursing assessments and skilled nursing visits in Duluth and surrounding areas, including Atlanta and Buford. Immediate area needs may involve pleural catheter drainage per physician orders.

Qualifications

• Georgia RN license (unrestricted) or multi-state license.
• Experience with home-health nursing assessments.
• Wound-care experience.
• Competency with tunneled pleural catheter drainage.
• CPR/BLS and First Aid certification.
• TB clearance.
• Physical/health clearance.
• Professional liability insurance.
• Valid driver's license & auto insurance.
• Reliable transportation to clients' homes.
• Ability to pass background and employment screenings.
• Ability to work independently and complete timely clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and follow-up nursing assessments in home settings.
• Drain and monitor tunneled pleural catheter drainage as ordered.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Assess catheter site, drainage, tolerance, and respiratory status.
• Perform authorized wound care and dressing changes.
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures.
• Report complications or changes promptly to team.
• Communicate with agency, clients, families, and physicians.
• Provide patient and caregiver education.
• Complete accurate documentation within deadlines.
• Clock in/out via WellSky for visits.
• Work within defined scope and competency.
