Job summary

Amergis, a home health staffing provider, is seeking a Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) in Petersburg, VA to deliver skilled one-on-one nursing care in patients’ homes or residential settings.

With a physician-ordered care plan, you will document care and may accompany patients to appointments. Active VA RN licensure and CPR if applicable are required; health certs and regulatory compliance must be met. This contract–Full Time position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• One year of home health nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document skilled one-on-one nursing care per physician-ordered care plan.
• Care delivered primarily in the patient’s home or residential setting, with possible travel for appointments.
• May accompany the patient outside the home during appointments and other activities.

The Home Health Registered Nurse is responsible forproviding and documenting skilled one-on-one nursing care in accordance withthe physician-ordered individualized patient care plan. This care is provided mostly in the patient’shome or a residential setting but can transfer outside the home duringappointments and other activities the nurse may accompany the patient to.

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state inwhich the RN will practice

• One year of home health nursing experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
