Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and patient education in home care, following the plan of care under the supervising PT. This role requires licensure, weekend availability, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Active license/registration as Physical Therapy Assistant in state of practice.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervising PT plan of care and state-specific laws for home care.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, and mobility.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and coordinates care with health team.
• Educates patient and family on therapy and safety within the scope of PTA.
• Function in diverse home environments regardless of client background.
