Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for home care in Indiana. You will perform treatments, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients under the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through exercises, observing progress, and coordinating with the healthcare team. A weekend rotation and a current PTA license are required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and health team on therapy within the scope of the PTA.
• Function effectively in diverse home settings and with varied patient backgrounds.
